My Next Destination

WE'RE GOING TO GDANSK!

This summers destination is Gdansk in Poland, and I'm so excited! We're traveling in eight days and we're staying for five days. Over you can see some pictures from last time I went to Gdansk in 2016, together with my classmates. We had such a blast, and there's so many memories to look back at. I can't wait to go back, and I've already planned a few places that I want to visit, one them being a must - Sephora! I've already written down a list of products that I want to try, and hope to find while I'm there. It's a lot hehe. I'm going to bring my camera and MacBook with me, so I'm hoping to write some posts while I'm there. You can also follow me on Instagram HERE, where I will share pictures and my days on insta story!

Du kan følge meg HER

Let's Talk SPF

June 4, 2018

Something we all should use, but often forget to use, is SPF. Theres probably a lot of people, including myself, that don't think the thought of applying sunscreen every single day regardless of wether you're wearing makeup or not. It's said that SPF is the best anti-aging cream in the world, and the higher the SPF, the more protection your skin gets. You can find SPF in sunscreens made specific for the face, and you can find a wide range of SPF in skincare and makeup products. My tip is to use a sunscreen or your daily skincare and makeup products with SPF in it, so that the skin is protected every day. This could be your everyday moisturizer or foundation.

My favorites when it comes to sunscreen for the face is the Cliniderm Mattifying Sun Face Fluid SPF 50, and The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-Protection Essence. The sunscreen from Cliniderm is the newest one in my collection, and it's the one that I've been wearing non-stop for the last couple of weeks. Both of these sunscreens fits perfect under makeup and have max protection of SPF 50. The biggest difference between these sunscreens is that the one from Cliniderm has a pump, mattyfies the skin, and has an active ingredient in it to prevent acne. Other than that, they're pretty similar! Both sunscreens comes with 40ML of product, has UVA + UVB protection, and protects the skin against environmental skin aggressors. I totally recommend both of these products, but unfortunately, Cliniderm is a brand that you can only get in Norway. Unless no pump is a deal breaker for you, I would recommend you to try out The Body Shop one!

The Prettiest Eyeshadow Palette

THE PALETTE THAT SCREAMS MY NAME

How gorgeous is the Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette by Anastasia?! If there's a palette that describes me, this is it. I love natural and glammed makeup, and this palette has everything you need when it comes to neutrals, bolds and shimmers to create an everyday simple look, or a glam look. This is the third eyeshadow palette I own by Anastasia, and it's definitely my favorite of them all. The eyeshadow formula is quite similar to the Modern Renaissance palette, and the shadows are buttery, very pigmented, and blends like a dream. The eyeshadows in the palette has a warm undertone, which is perfect for spring and the upcoming summer. This has been the eyeshadow palette that I've been reaching for lately. Wether it's a neutral look or a glam look, I know this palette won't let me down. In other words, this is a huge favorite in my makeup collection, and if you're on the look for an eyeshadow palette that is multifunctional when it comes to different types of looks, I would totally recommend you to check it out!

A Day In The City

May 13, 2018

On Wednesday I met up with one of my good friends from beauty school. We hadn't seen each other since graduation in January, which was such a long time ago! We had such a nice day in the city together - we had a great lunch at my favorite restaurant Egon, we did some vintage shopping at Grünerløkka in Oslo, and the rest of the day we enjoyed in the city centre. I had such a blast

Kitchen Home Decor Haul

May 10, 2018

...

Walnut Tray from LAGERHAUS
Pink Grapefruit Candle from LAGERHAUS
Paper Holder from LAGERHAUS
Dishwasher Soap from NORMAL

I was in a shopping mood a couple of days ago and decided to look out for some new home decor for my kitchen. I've been getting more and more into home decor, and have for the last couple of months bought some pieces for my living room and bedroom, but haven't really prioritized the kitchen, so I figured out now was the time! I went into two of my favorite budget-friendly shops when it comes to home decor, which is H&M and Lagerhaus. I always spend way to much time in those shops browsing for new pieces and finding inspiration. This time I bought three items from the store Lagerhaus, which is a walnut tray, a gorgeous gold paper holder, and a Pink Grapefruit Scented Candle which smells amazing and so fresh! I also stopped by the store NORMAL, which is a store that sells everyday products such as haircare, beauty, cleaning supplies and so on for a cheaper price than other regular stores. I bought a dishwasher soap with the scent of citrus, quite a boring purchase I know, but it's needed, and the bottle matches my new decor setup pretty well!

What are your recent home decor purchases?

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

March 22, 2018

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

Today I'm bringing to you a foundation review! I've been getting more into drugstore makeup lately, and I've wanted to try out some new products from the drugstore for a little while now. I went on Lookfantastic and ordered myself some new products, one of them being an old favorite I haven't used for years.

Rimmel Match Perfection is a weightless and smooth foundation with sheer to medium, buildable coverage. The foundation claims to reduce imperfections, pores and dark circles, while giving 24 hours of hydration. The foundation comes with SPF 20, which is great for the spring and summer months coming up, for some extra protection to the skin.

One of my favorite things when it comes to this foundation is the scent. The scent gives me a summer vibe, as it smells like sunscreen, and that's probably thanks to the SPF in it. The texture of the foundation is smooth and weightless, and the formula is more on the thicker side. I noticed, as the foundation is quite hydrating that it's also sticky, so it definitely needs to be set with a powder.

Before & After

My skin isn't at its best at the moment, and I think the foundation did a good job at evening out my skin tone, cover my acne and scars, and blur out my pores. The foundation doesn't feel heavy on the skin, and it feels hydrating. The finish of the foundation is not matte nor dewy, but something in between. I have the foundation in the shade 010 Light Porcelain, and I think the color matches me well, but it's more on the pink side, which doesn't make it a perfect match for my skin tone.

I really love how this foundation performs, and I can tell that it's still a favorite of mine. Last time I used it was back in 2013, and I didn't have the right shade for me, but I used it as often as I could when I was a bit tan. I wish the shade I have now was more on the yellow side, as you definitely can see the difference, but I can make it work, as I think the foundation is so good and worth it!

Have you tried the Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation?

My Favorite Spring/Summer Scent

March 4, 2018

Escada Cherry In The Air

Spring if finally here! I'm so sick of the cold and snow, and I'm really looking forward to the warmer weather. It's time to bring out all of my spring beauty essentials, and today I want to share with you my favorite scent for spring and summer.

This perfume has been a favorite of mine ever since I first got it in 2013. Escada Cherry In The Air was the limited edition scent for spring/summer that year. It really sucks to have fallen in love with a limited edition scent, as I know when it's used up I probably won't be able to find it ever again. I felt so sad after I'd used up my first bottle, and I kept it on my shelf for display as memory. Luckily three years later I found the perfume at the Duty Free store at the Airport and I absolutely freaked out! The perfume had a re-launch that summer, and I picked up the 100ML bottle without a doubt!

Escada Cherry In The Air is a floraly and fruity perfume with notes of tangy cherries, fluffy marshmallows, musky sandalwood and warm creamy vanilla. It's definitely one of the best scents I've smelled when it comes to perfumes, and it instantly gives me a romantic summer vibe. I think they did an amazing job with the packaging, it fits the scent of the perfume perfect and the details are gorgeous. The bow tie that comes with the perfume can also be used as a ring, which is a special but very cute detail!

I've heard that the Britney Spears Fantasy In Bloom Perfume is a perfect dupe for the Escada Cherry In The Air. I haven't compared the Fantasy In Bloom perfume to Cherry In The Air, but I have smelled it, and it's smells sooo good. I can't say for sure thats it's a dupe as I haven't compared them, but if you're looking for a floraly and fruity perfume with notes of cherries, I would recommend to check out the Fantasy In Bloom perfume by Britney Spears.

Did you get your hands on Cherry In The Air when it first came out?

The Perfect High End Bronzer

February 8, 2018

I love discovering new favorites, and the Giorgio Armani Sun Fabric Bronzer is one of the newest favorites in my makeup collection.

Face products, and especially cheek products are some of my favorite makeup products to purchase. I love bronzing up my face, and I never go a makeup look without applying a type of bronzing product to my face. I have been wearing this new favorite bronzer non-stop lately, and it surprises me every time how easily it blends in to the skin and how natural it looks.

The Sun Fabric Bronzer by Giorgio Armani is a sheer velvety-soft bronzing powder that gives a natural sun-kissed glow to the skin. The bronzer comes in four different shades, and I have mine in the lightest shade 100, which is a perfect shade for my pale skin. This bronzer if definitely a dream bronzer of mine - I love the glowing, yet natural finish it gives to my face, the neutral brown undertone, and it blends like a dream! The packaging of the bronzer is so gorgeous, and I love the texturized design of the product itself. The bronzer comes with a tiny rounded flat brush, which is something I haven't tried out as I'm not a huge fan of those brushes. The bronzer is more on the pricey side at $54/430NOK, but I definitely think it's worth it as a little goes a long way with this one.

If you're on the look for a new bronzer and wouldn't mind spending a bit more of money for great quality, I would so recommend you to check out this bronzer!
